(he/him)
I aspire to create a safe, trusting, and nonjudgmental environment that will allow you to explore and gain greater knowledge of yourself and your relationships. I want to walk alongside you to address life stressors interfering with your ability to enjoy life to its fullest potential. I am passionate about the therapeutic process and consider it a unique privilege to do this work. You are worth being well.
I have years of experience working with children, teens, young adults, and adults with a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, self-harm, and suicidal behavior. I work full-time as a Crisis Counselor with Garland ISD, working with students whose personal circumstances and mental health interfere with academic performance and personal and social development.
I graduated from Texas State University with a Master's in Social Work with a concentration in direct practice with individuals, families, and groups. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) under supervision, working towards completing my clinical hours to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
In my free time, you can find me with my better half and my stepson. We enjoy going to sporting events and outdoor adventures. I also enjoy spending time at coffee shops and bookstores and listening to podcasts; I recommend a great podcast: The Dr. John Delony Show.
